What can I do if someone uses my photos?

Photo theft is the unauthorized reproduction and making available to the public of photos on the Internet.

You should always contact our support team first, and if you have your own profile on our site, carry out authenticity verification by means of a photo check or ID verification via an ID document. This enables our support team to compare the reported images directly with the authenticity verification image.

It is also important to give us the exact username of the user in the correct spelling so that the corresponding profile can be located immediately.

The username can always be found in the address bar of the browser used. Here is an example: https://www.kaufmich.com/hierstehtderbenutzername - In this example, the username is “hierstehtderbenutzername”.

It is also possible to report images directly via the profile. To do this, click/tap on the small warning triangle symbol under the relevant image and select “Copyright or other legal concerns” in the submenu.

Optionally, you can enter a text of up to 160 characters to provide us with additional details.

In addition, you could contact the police and, if necessary, consider filing a complaint due to unauthorized reproduction/publication. Legislation stipulates that the injured party must make the report themselves.

You can also file a complaint online at any time: https://www.online-strafanzeige.de/
